Developing, Painting, Kayaking!!

It's been a busy week to say the least and it's already Thursday. I painted some more on the acrylic Eiffel Tower at night. Maybe I'll share a photo of the painting. It's still a work in progress.

Also was in the darkroom developing some prints of negatives never developed on paper. Plus I am trying out the matt finish fiber base paper. I usually use the glossy, and it seems to show the blacks better, however, matt is alot of the time the preferred for museum quality, blah, blah, blah. I love the feel of the matt finish. The first negative in particular that I was developing was a small cypress in the fog. After I got the timing down, unfortunately there is either a twig or something in the negative that I am still unable to 'see' even with the aide of the light box, that is just too distracting for my taste. If I can see, someone else is going to see it. But it was pretty awesome. I have some others I can try too.

Then yesterday afternoon I had an appointment to do some 'product web shots' for a fellow candle artist. It was fun working with her down at the High Hand Gallery in the 'sheds' even if it was hotter than you know what! That took about 4 hrs including driving time. I set up a tri-fold back drop and draped it with an off white material for the background, and set up the lights and umbrellas. The lights were an added heater to say the least!

Then this morning my hubby and I went out kayaking. It was the first time for me in a long time. He built his kayak - Chesapeake Light Craft kit - and of course everyone wants to come over and admire his work of art, which it most definitely is. So it was a great day!
